Liyaan Khoso is a multidisciplinary artist. Khoso makes Mockumentaries, performs Improv, works with acrylics to make surrealist and abstract artworks, explores digital photography and writes creatively.
Khoso’s guiding aesthetic principle is that art is a kind of visual philosophy to embody play and new situations to imagine a different world-scape. Khoso’s strongest conceptual influences are the Situationist movement, Gender Studies, and principles of containerisation & cloud engineering.

Recent collections have focussed on the relationship between group dynamics and the art of improvisation, gymnastics and contortion as muses for painted forms, and the timeless questions of universal and existential longing.

Part of the inspiration for Khoso’s art style comes from her mixed heritage and early experiences growing up in Africa, South Asia, the Middle East, and different parts of Europe.
Through the free exploration of various art forms, Khoso aims to explore and uncover truths about various aspects of sociality and culture.
